WHAT WE DO

Foundation Hair Academy offers aspiring & existing hairstylists a strong foundation in technical education systems, providing the tools needed to build confidence and navigate the hair industry.

Located in Courtenay, BC, we facilitate customized in person classes, host guest educators and offering on location in salon staff training.

We also offer yearly intakes of our two flagship programs: HAIRCUTTING AND STYLING FUNDAMENTALS and INTRO TO HAIRCOLOUR AND CHEMICAL SERVICES.

HOW IT STARTED

We have been teaching classes and mentoring new and experienced stylists since 2015. Our experience allowed us to trial and hone a comprehensive and simplified approach that has been proven successful by all of our amazing students. Our techniques and corresponding theory have been created to provide the most effective and efficient path to understanding the art of custom haircutting and and hair colouring suitable for modern salon environments.

In addition, as passionate hairstylists who have been in the industry for close to 20 years, we focus on ergonomic body positions so that our students are able to have long, successful careers.
